Aalborg Energie Technik a/s (AET) has received an order from Akuo Energy for the delivery of a turnkey biomass-fired cogeneration plant in France. The 63 MWth input Cogéneration Biomasse de Novillars (CBN) plant will be located at the site of the Gemdoubs paper mill in Novillars, eastern France.
Danish independent combustion technology engineering and contracting company Aalborg Energie Technik a/s (AET) has announced that it has received an order from Akuo Energy for the delivery of a turnkey biomass-fired cogeneration plant in France.
The 63 MWth input Cogéneration Biomasse de Novillars (CBN) plant will be located at the site of the Gemdoubs paper mill in Novillars, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France and replace an existing fossil fuelled solution.
The plant will use locally sourced wood and supply process steam to the paper mill and green electricity. The deal also includes a long-term operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for AET, the first such contract in France for the company. The value of the order is in the region of EUR 87 million. Construction start of the plant has commenced.
