European ethanol major CropEnergies AG, a Germany-headed entity in the Südzucker Group reports slightly increased revenues the first nine months of the financial year 2016/17  to EUR 565 million, up EUR 7 million the previous year.

A jump in revenues in the 3rd quarter, chiefly attributed to the restart of the production plant in Wilton, UK, contributed significantly. CropEnergies increased ethanol production by 117 000 m3 in the reporting period along with increased food and animal feed volumes.

CropEnergies has four production facilities located in Belgium, France, Germany and the UK that use cereals and sugarbeet as feedstock. The company has a combined annual production capacity of 1.3 million m3 of fuel-grade ethanol, 150 000 m3 high-purity technical ethanol and over 1 million tonnes of protein food and animal feed products.
