Fuels of the Future 2021 releases programme and goes virtual only

The organisers of the annual Fuels of the Future conference, Bundesverband Bioenergie e.V (BBE), Union for the Promotion of Oil and Protein Plants (UFOP), German Bioethanol Industry Association (BDBe), Fachverband Biogas and Association of the German Biofuels Industry (VDB) have released the programme for the 2021 edition of the conference and announced that it will be held during January 18-22, 2021 as a virtual-only event.

Almost 600 participants from over 40 countries converged in Berlin, Germany during January 21-22, 2019 to attend the 16th International conference “Fuels of the Future”. The 18th International Conference for Renewable Mobility “Fuels of the Future” will take place again from January 18-22, 2021, however, on account of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the organisers have decided to convert the 18th edition of the conference into a digital event format.

The motto of the congress is: “Fuels of the Future” digital & internationally networked! The conference will take place as a 5-day event series and each day of the event consists of three sessions and will be held bilingually (German-English).

According to the organisers, an advantage is that the comprehensive and varied programme with a total of 15 sessions is that for the first time in 2021, these will not take place in parallel but in succession. This means that delegates can attend all sessions.
