In Serbia, WOOD CHIPS d.o.o. Beograd has become the second "GoodChips" certified company in the country. "GoodChips" is the first international certification scheme for woodchips and is a sister certification scheme of ENPlus, the world-leading wood pellet certification scheme.

Founded in 2018, WOOD CHIPS d.o.o. Beograd has the ambition to become a leader in the production and distribution of woodchips in Serbia. It has already established its first distribution centres in Šabac and Majdanpek.

In its first two years of operations, the woodchips producer has gained several large customers, such as local municipalities.

According to Bioenergy Europe, the owner Miroslav Aleksić wishes for WOOD CHIPS d.o.o. Beograd to set a high standard for the woodchips business in the country. In his vision, the company should always seek to provide a guarantee for the quality of the products to the customers, which was the main reason to join GoodChips.

Miroslav’s future plans include opening two more distribution centres in Serbia in the next two years and concluding long-term contracts with the largest suppliers of woodchips in Serbia and the region.

Being a GoodChips certified company will contribute to the realisation of these plans by providing a competitive advantage and more trading opportunities. The company is now certified for the production, storage, and delivery of A2 quality class of woodchips,
