Luxaviation and Shell Aviation partner to launch long-term collaboration across FBO network
Luxaviation Group, one of the world's largest business aircraft and helicopter operators has announced the signing of a strategic collaboration with Shell Aviation (Shell), the aviation fuel and lubricants supply arm of global energy major Royal Dutch Shell plc. Luxaviation and Shell will join forces for an expansion plan beyond their existing respective fixed-base operator (FBO) and fuel supply networks, co-investing in adding new FBO locations.
Luxembourg- headed Luxaviation Group operates globally under the regulatory umbrella of 15 Air Operator’s certificates (AOCs).
At the beginning of September 2021, the company revealed that it was “in the process of exploring the possibilities of actively contributing to the development of SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) and increasing its availability” as there are only a “few airports in Europe and the US that offer SAF.”
