Pemco Energi, a Swedish subsidiary of Norway-headed Pemco Group has announced that it has been selected by Swedish Oat Fiber to supply a 3 MW wood pellet boiler to its oat processing plant in Bua, southwest Sweden. To be delivered as turnkey containerized unit along with operations and maintenance (O&M), the new boiler will replace an existing oil-fired boiler that provides process steam to the oat processing facility.

Commissioning is scheduled during the summer 2017 and the existing boiler will be kept for backup purposes. The delivery is under Pemco Energi’s heat-as-a-service “Färdig Värme” concept whereby the investment is borne by Pemco with the client paying for the energy consumed. The project has been qualified for a grant from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) climate support programme as it falls well into the criterion for measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
