ECOMB receive major replacement order from France
Sweden-based ECOMB AB, a combustion engineering company has announced that it has received a major order for spare parts for its proprietary "Ecotube" system from Compagnie Parisienne de Chauffage Urbain (CPCU), a district heating plant operator in Paris, France.
Worth approximately SEK 1.3 million (≈ EUR 133 000), the order is for a replacement of the Ecotube system that was originally installed by ECOMB in two coal-fired boilers at a CPCU owned district plant in 2008 and 2009 respectively. The boilers have since been converted from coal to biomass, both so-called black and white wood pellets.
However, according to ECOMB, the lack of supply of pellets with suitable and consistent quality has meant that CPCU has reverted back to using coal this heating season.
