Enerstena wins tender for Polish biomass heat plant

Lithuania-headed combustion technology providers, Enerstena Group has revealed that it won an international tender for the delivery of a 7 MW biomass-fired hot water boiler plant in the city of Nowy Sacz, Poland.

According to Enerstena, the supply contract was signed on July 8, 2019, and the project scope provides for the design and the installation of a new 7 MW biomass-fired hot water plant. This includes the hot water boiler with a moving grate furnace, fuel storage silo, fuel feeding- and ash removal systems.

The flue gas cleaning system will conform to the most recent European Union (EU) requirements as well as local Polish requirements. Once commissioned, the new biomass boiler will replace the use of peat and coal thus enable the considerable reduction of environmental pollution in the city which situated at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.

The value of the order has not been disclosed.
