Logset's hybrid harvester lands Austrian innovation award

The Logset 8H GTE Hybrid harvester from Finland-headed forest machinery manufacturers Logset Oy has won another international acknowledgment, this time the Austrofoma/ Österreichischer Forstverein Innovationspreis 2019 announced during the recently held Austrofoma 2019 forestry exhibition in Austria.
"I feel proud. The prize is an important acknowledgment," says Daniel Muller-Habbel from MHD who works as a Logset dealer in Germany and Austria.

The first acknowledgment was given to the Logset 8H GTE Hybrid harvester in July 2019 when the French forestry magazine “Bois International” chose the machine model as the “Forest Machine of the Year”.

In the Austrofoma competition, 38 different companies were nominated in three categories: forest machines, ergonomics, and small forestry equipment (for example chain saws). The organizer of the exhibition, Österreichischer Forstverein (Forestry Association of Austria) chose the Logset hybrid as the winner of the forest machine category because of the “great innovation” it represents. The hybrid harvester is more efficient than traditional harvesters and is more fuel-efficient.

I feel proud. The prize is an important acknowledgment. This is the first time Logset is participating in an exhibition in Austria, so winning here feels extra special. Also, this is an international show with customers from all around Europe, said Daniel Muller-Habbel from MHD who works as a Logset dealer in Germany and Austria.

Today Logset has approximately 40 forest machines working in Austria.

The Logset 8H GTE Hybrid harvester was launched in May 2019 in Finland and is the second Logset harvester model to use a hybrid powertrain since the introduction in 2016.
