Austrian engineering, construction and combustion technology manufacturers Urbas Energietechnik, a division of Urbas Stahl und Anlagenbau GmbH, have been selected to deliver a biomass combined heat and power plant for the Ireland-based wood processing company Glennon Brothers Ltd. The plant will be installed on the Adam Wilson & Sons Sawmill site in Troon, Scotland and will use wood waste from the sawmill as fuel. According to Urbas the “outstanding” challenge for this 10.9 MWth and 2.33 MWel CHP project is the delivery schedule as first electricity on site is in 2017.
