Finland-headed forest industry and energy technology major Valmet Oyj has revealed that it has recently opened new offices in Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam to "further strengthen its operation and local presence" in the Asia Pacific region.
According to Valmet, expanding its “capabilities and services” to Malaysia and Vietnam represent new geographical presence for Valmet. In Japan, Valmet already has two offices in Tokyo and Okayama. A new office in Sapporo will help Valmet to get closer to its customers in the northern part of Japan.
The opening up of new offices is a good example of getting closer to local customers in growth markets and part of the company’s “Close to you” core commitments in its Shared Journey Forward services approach.
Valmet has a strong position in the Asia Pacific. We believe that the new offices and expanded local capabilities allow us to better serve our customers and further strengthen our position in the area. Being close to our customers is the key for us, as we want to understand our customers’ specific needs as well as develop right solutions and share best practices together, said Jukka Tiitinen, Area President, Asia Pacific, Valmet.
