In the United States (US), aviation fuel distributor Avfuel Corporation and fixed base operator (FBO) Atlantic Aviation FBO Inc. have announced an expansion of their sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply agreement to include a continuous inventory of "Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel" at all four of Atlantic’s Colorado (CO) locations.

Atlantic Aviation FBO (Atlantic Aviation) currently has more than 100 Fixed Base Operations (FBO) locations across North America including locations in Hawaii and the Caribbean.

While the two companies announced the continuous supply of Neste MY SAF at Atlantic’s Aspen facility (KASE) in the spring of 2021, this agreement expands the supply to Atlantic’s Montrose (KMTJ), Hayden/Steamboat (KHDN) and Aspen/Rifle (KRIL) FBOs in the State of Colorado.

Sustainability is so much more than a buzzword to us. We view SAF as the most viable and impactful step toward enabling a greener future for our industry and are committed to supporting customer sustainability goals accordingly. Striving to reduce our impact on the environment is a promise we’ve made to our customers, our staff, and the communities we serve. We know environmental sustainability is vitally important in our mountains, said Brian Corbett, Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer for Atlantic Aviation.

With one of the highest average blend ratios available in business aviation to date (30/70 SAF to petroleum-based jet fuel), each truckload of Neste MY SAF reduces carbon emissions by 19 tonnes across its lifecycle.

We could not be more proud to expand SAF’s availability through this partnership with Atlantic Aviation. Furthermore, we’re incredibly appreciative of its team, which has worked tirelessly to further sustainability initiatives. Together, we can support cleaner aviation for a brighter future, Keith Sawyer, Avfuel’s Manager of Alternative Fuels, said.
