During a recent business trip to the UK, Biogest Energie- und Wassertechnik GmbH (Biogest) was able to present itself to potential customers from Thailand and Malaysia. The focus areas were both power generation plants and biomethane feed-in plants. One result of the visit was the subsequent signing of a licence agreement in Vienna, Austria with BKE Combustion Controls Co., Ltd, a leading Thai manufacturer of products and control systems for industrial heating and drying applications.

According to Biogest, the Southeast Asian market is ideally suited for generating biogas. Large volumes of organic waste are available which can be converted into electrical and thermal energy. The organic fertilizer that is a byproduct of the process can be used as a substitute for the chemical fertilizers currently used in agriculture. The Biogest Power-Ring technology is renowned for its flexibility in processing a wide variety of raw materials and for its operational reliability.
Biogest is an internationally active biogas plant manufacturer and operator with its headquarters in Austria and subsidiaries in the UK, France, US, Italy, Romania, Serbia, and the Czech Republic. More than 130 biogas plant projects generating electricity or biomethane have been completed to date.
BKE Combustion Controls design and manufactures a wide variety of biogas flare, biogas dryer, and biogas burner equipment and the new license agreement forms the basis for a long-term partnership between the two companies.
