Czech-headed turbomachinery major Doosan Škoda Power has revealed that it has been contracted by Danish energy utility Ørsted A/S (previously DONG Energy) to deliver a complete machine room with a two-casting turbine to the new Asnæs Power Station in Kalundborg, Denmark.

According to a statement, Doosan Škoda Power signed the contract for the delivery of the machine room, complete with an innovative two-casing 30 MW capacity turbine with DONG Energy last summer. The contract value is approximately EUR 14 million.
Next year will see the first deliveries to the building site; these will be followed by installation work geared towards completing the mechanical installations in early 2019, while the project is gradually being put into operation. The complete project is planned to be handed over to the customer in late 2019, said Tomáš Winkler, Project Manager at Doosan Škoda Power.
