China-headed biomass combustion technology providers DP CleanTech (HK) Ltd has announced its recent acquisition of Austria- headed waste management specialist IuT GmbH and the simultaneous launch of DP’s new global Waste Management division – a new platform within the DP CleanTech Group for the provision of specific services to the waste management sector.
From the world’s first commercial biomass power plant in Denmark in 1996, DP technology has led the development of the global biomass industry and today’s announcement signifies the next step in DP’s growth. Since 2004, DP has been steadily expanding its solutions portfolio to include other leading technologies; through a combination of organic growth, acquisitions, and partnerships.
IuT’s proven know-how, technology and services for the waste management sector are highly complementary and aligned with DP’s own offerings and will support DP’s strategy to expand its services to meet the needs of waste management developers and operators. Reinhard Goeschl, Founder and Chairman of IuT, will take the position of Chairman of the newly formed division.
We are delighted to welcome the IuT team to the DP family and excited to embark on a new phase in our company’s development. IuT lends a new dimension to our portfolio, and we aim to embed their knowledge and experience to enhance our range of holistic solutions to the waste and renewable energy industry, said Simon Parker, CEO, DP CleanTech.
