Finland-headed oil refiner and renewable products major Neste Oyj has announced that it is partnering with Sweden-headed independent renewable fuel distributor and retailer Biofuel Express to sell Neste MY Renewable Diesel in Denmark.
Founded in 2008, Biofuel Express distributes and retails biodiesel and renewable diesel for the heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) sector in Sweden and Denmark.
Together with OK and DCC Energy, Biofuel Express opened a new heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) filling station in June 2023 in Padborg. Located on the E45 close to the German border, Padborg is one of Denmark’s largest logistical hubs.
The company will distribute and sell Neste MY Renewable Diesel, while Neste will ensure sufficient volumes of the fuel.
We are delighted to deepen our partnership with Neste. Together, we are committed to providing the Danish market with biofuels of the highest quality, empowering companies to make better choices and contribute to a more sustainable future. Our station in Padborg marks an exciting milestone as we expand our network of stations, bringing more environmentally friendly fuel options closer to our customers, said Martin Sebastian Agdal, Partner at Biofuel Express.
Neste MY Renewable Diesel has been available in the Danish market since April 2023, when Neste first entered the market.
We are very excited to expand our Neste MY Renewable Diesel offering in the Danish market together with Biofuel Express. Biofuel Express has been a valued partner of Neste in the Swedish market since 2019 and we are happy to announce that our partnership is expanding to Denmark. This partnership will help Danish transport companies to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions of their existing fleet by switching fossil diesel to renewable diesel, also known as “HVO100”. By fueling Neste MY Renewable Diesel, greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by up to 90 percent over the life cycle of the fuel when compared to fossil diesel. We are committed to supporting our customers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20 million tons annually by 2030, said Christian Pettersson, Head of Branded Sales Nordics, Renewable Road Transportation business unit at Neste.
