2025 European Pellet Conference call for papers

2025 European Pellet Conference call for papers
Dr Hubert Röder outlined how the use of wood energy is a "WinWinWinWin" for all at the 2024 European Pellet Conference in Wels, Austria.

"Pellets – competitive and climate-neutral!" is the motto of the next European Pellet Conference that will take place on March 5, 2025, in Wels, Austria. The call for papers and speaker proposals closes on October 10, 2024.

The transformation of the energy system towards renewables is going ahead at full speed. What role can pellets play in increasingly decarbonized energy markets?

New EU policies (EUDR, RED, EED, EPBD) create new challenges and opportunities for pellets – how can we best deal with them?

According to the organizers, the 2025 European Pellet Conference will discuss these issues, present solutions for positioning pellets under forever-changing conditions, and news from policy, markets, and technologies.

A comprehensive package

Held on March 5-8, 2024 in Wels, Austria, the annual World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED), which included the 2024 European Pellet Conference (EPC) on March 6, attracted over 650 experts from 60 countries.

Said to be one of the largest annual pellet conferences worldwide with 40+ speakers from all over the world, the event is part of the World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED), a leading annual conference on energy transition and climate neutrality.

Coupled with a major concurrent Energiesparmesse, a tradeshow on renewable energy with over 100 pellet-related exhibitors, the setting provides networking opportunities for bioenergy actors along the value chain, encased in “Austrian hospitality”.
