Spain-headed natural gas refueling technology developer, gas distributor and service provider HAM Group has announced that it has acquired 11 new Scania R 410 trucks that join a fleet operated by its subsidiary Transportes HAM.
Transporte HAM is a leading company in the road transport sector, specialized in the transport of flammable and cryogenic products such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other industrial gases.
According to HAM Group, the entire fleet of vehicles operated by Transporte HAM is exclusively powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), a safe, clean and safe transportation fuel compared to conventional fossil fuels – LNG can reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 15 percent, nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 35 percent and particulate matter (PM) by 95 percent.
HAM Group says that it was the first European company to bet on the use of LNG in its vehicles for road transport, with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The first ten LNG trucks were imported from the United States (US) in 2000 and since the fleet has continued to grow progressively.
The new Scania R 410 vehicles comply with ADR regulations and allow HAM Group to “make safe and comfortable vehicles available to our drivers so that they can carry out their work in the best conditions, thus guaranteeing the highest quality of our services.”
HAM Group will continue to expand and renew its fleet of vehicles powered by liquefied natural gas, following our highest level of demand and with respect to the environment.
