Finland-headed energy and industrial lifecycle service company SSG Sahala Oy has reached an agreement with compatriot combustion technology providers KPA Unicon Oy to acquire its installation subsidiary KPA Unicon Service Oy. As a result of the business deal, eight employees will be transferred from KPA Unicon Service with their current employment conditions to Sammet Asennus Oy, a subsidiary of SSG Sahala, as of November 1.
According to a statement, the agreement between the two companies was reached on October 19 and is part of the joint development strategy of KPA Unicon and SSG Sahala.
Through the partnership, we can help our customers in a wider range of areas. The focus is on combining both companies strengths in the various areas of energy production with service and maintenance know-how and enabling extensive modernisation projects. Our goal is that through cooperation we can serve our customers more individually. Combining forces will enable wider and more flexible services to existing customers of both companies. In addition, the deal also provides us with an impetus to expand our operations to new market areas. Our joined competence enables an even larger range of services for our customers, say Petri Salo, Managing Director of SSG Sahala, and Jukka-Pekka Kovanen, Managing Director of KPA Unicon.

The company’s services cover total maintenance, condition monitoring as well as broader maintenance and installation projects. In addition, its workshops manufacture customer-specific products for production processes and machines.
