SPI Energy Co., Ltd. is a global provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions for business, residential, government and utility customers and investors. SPI Energy focuses on the downstream PV market including the development, financing, installation, operation and sale of utility-scale and residential solar power projects in China, Japan, Europe and North America.
According to a statement, the Letter of Intent (LoI) allows SPI Japan to expand business opportunities in biomass energy power products and services.
SPI is constantly looking for innovating business opportunities to expand our market share and profitability. We are very pleased to work with valuable partners like Entrade who is focusing on green power. We will also consider extending our cooperation of green power in other markets which we are operating such as Hawaii and other emerging markets, said Xiaofeng Peng, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SPI Energy.
Earlier this month, Entrade held an inauguration in Nishigo, Fukushima prefecture of its first E3 micro biomass-fired CHP plant to Japan.
Our technology provides clean and cheap power, heating and cooling onsite. As a global leader in small-scale biomass power plants, we look forward to working with SPI, especially in Japan, but also in Puerto Rico and other markets. There is huge market potential in those markets, commented Julien Uhlig, CEO and co-founder of Entrade.
