ANDRITZ selected to supply boiler for Tahara Green Biomass project

Austria-headed international technology group Andritz AG (ANDRITZ) has announced that it has received its 12th PowerFluid circulating fluidized bed boiler (CFB) order from Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO). This order is for a 50 MW PowerFluid boiler for the Tahara Green Biomass power plant that will be built in Tahara-shi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

According to a statement, the boiler will be supplied on EPS basis with the start-up planned for 2025. The plant will be fueled by wood pellets. The order, the value of which has not been disclosed, further confirms the company’s strong partnership with TOYO and represents the 12th biomass-fired PowerFluid CFB boiler supply to TOYO.
