In Thailand, Vanachai Group Public Co. Ltd has successfully started up a pressurized refining system from Austrian technology group Andritz AG (ANDRITZ), producing first fibers at its new medium-density fiberboard (MDF) facility in Chonburi. This marks an important milestone as Vanachai continues to expand its wood‑based panel production capabilities.
Vanachai Group Public Co. Ltd is one of Thailand’s leading producers of wood‑based panel products, including medium‑density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard (PB), and oriented strand board (OSB).
The company is recognized for its long‑standing commitment to sustainable raw‑material use and efficient manufacturing processes.
The pressurized refining system is engineered to process hardwoods and various wood blends, with material introduced to the refiner via a constant feeder.
This configuration ensures highly stable and uniform fiber processing across the full throughput range.
As the core of the line, an S-Series pressurized refiner ensures robust processing and consistently high fiber quality while maintaining low specific energy consumption.
The durable and service-oriented design of the system components facilitates routine maintenance and reduces operating costs for Vanachai.
The successful start‑up is a meaningful moment for us. We are pleased to have started fiber production with the new system and appreciate ANDRITZ’s involvement throughout the project. Its technical expertise has played an important role in successfully bringing the line into operation, Phumsakdi Chullavullibha, Assistant Managing Director at Vanachai, commented.
This achievement underscores the effective cooperation between Vanachai and ANDRITZ, reflecting a shared commitment to stable and resource-efficient production performance.
