Axens acquires HydroThane

France-headed chemical process technology provider Axens, an IFP Group company, has announced that it has acquired HydroThane Holding BV, (HydroThane), a Dutch engineering company specializing in biological technologies for the environmental treatment of industrial wastewater streams.

This acquisition of HydroThane strengthens our portfolio of solutions to support our customers to meet their environmental and energy transition challenges. HydroThane advanced industrial water treatment technologies widen the scope of Axens integrated offer, for all the markets we serve. We are thrilled to welcome the HydroThane team to Axens, said Jean Sentenac, Chairman and CEO of Axens Group.

HydroThane provides design, basic engineering, proprietary equipment, commissioning and start-up assistance, nutrients, and granular biomass for both grassroots and existing units (i.e. re-seeding).

Throughout the entire plant life cycle, HydroThane provides its customers with services including laboratory and pilot tests to optimize operational conditions, troubleshooting, and training.

For existing units, HydroThane can offer fast-track refurbishment solutions minimizing investment costs, optimizing operation, and extending unit lifetime.
