Sweden-based torrefaction technology developer Bioendev AB has disclosed that it has recently signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Jilin Great Resources New Energy Co Ltd (GR) to explore the possibilities to set up a Joint-Venture (JV) company in China to promote sales, manufacturing, and construction of biocoal plants together with operation and management (O&M) of biocoal production plants.
According to a statement, the Joint Development Agreement (JDA) was signed December 3, 2018, and sets out the steps that need to be resolved before a Joint-Venture (JV) agreement can be signed. The two parties will closely work together to find the best possible solutions for each outstanding point.
Both parties are interested to convert GR’s Yanbian White pellet plant into a demonstration plant for torrefied black pellets based on Bioendev’s proprietary technology for torrefied biomass, also called “Biocoal”.
