BMH Technology to deliver complete fuel handling solution to DONG Energy

BMH Technology Oy, a Finland-headed material handling system and equipment supplier for the energy and environmental sector, has announced that it has signed a contract with DONG Energy for the supply and installation of a complete biofuel handling plant for its Asnæs Power Station in Kalundborg, Denmark.

According to a statement, the delivery of the fuel handling plant will take place in 2018 and the plant will be handed over to DONG Energy by the end of 2019. The value of the order is approximately EUR 12 million.

We are very proud to be DONG Energy´s cooperation partner for the supply of the extensive fuel handling plant and being part of contributing to the transition from fossil fuels to a sustainable solution based on biomass at this plant, stated Thomas Karlsson, Managing Director, BMH Technology AB, the Swedish subsidiary.

BMH Technology’s delivery consists of a quay based receiving hopper, belt conveying system to open storage, receiving hopper for front loader feeding, sampling system, fuel preparation with magnetic separation of ferrous and screening of oversized materials, a 5 000 m³ fuel silo with screw reclaimer and conveying to the boiler along with all miscellaneous auxiliary systems as well as complete electrification and automation.

The design capacities are 1000 m3 per hour to storage/silo and 300 m3 per hour to the boiler.
