BMH Technology to supply fuel handling system to Borås Energi & Miljö

BMH Technology AB, the Swedish subsidiary of Finland-headed material handing technology providers BMH Technology Oy has announced that it has been selected by Swedish municipal energy and waste management company Borås Energi & Miljö AB to supply a biomass fuel preparation and handling system for its Sobacken biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant project.

On March 16, 2016, BMH Technology signed a contract with Swedish municipal energy company Borås Energi & Miljö for the delivery of the biomass fuel preparation and handling system for the planned Sobacken biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant. According to a statement, the agreement was signed on March 16, 2016.

At Borås Energi & Miljö we are delighted to be able, together with BMH Technology Oy, which delivers outstanding environmental technology solutions, to build a facility that will contribute to a long-term sustainable society, remarked Gunnar Peters, CEO of Borås Energi & Miljö.

Thomas Karlsson, CEO of BMH Technology AB is also pleased that his company has been awarded the assignment, which is worth around SEK 92 million.

We are very proud to be here today and to be involved in the development of Borås City and the development of infrastructure and environmental work, said Karlsson.

The external fuel management contract includes fuel preparation, intermediate storage, and transport of the fuel for the planned CHP plant at Sobacken, from the yard to the boiler day silos.
