Burkhardt lands major biomass gasifier CHP order from Japan

Germany-headed biomass gasification technology specialists Burkhardt GmbH has announced that it has received a major order for ten wood pellet gasifiers from its Japanese partner Sanyo Trading Co. Ltd.

According to Burkhardt, the company has over 160 wood gasifiers in operation since 2009. Most of these plants are located in Germany and Italy. The first Burkhardt gasifier plant in Japan began operations in the spring of 2015 in Ueno Village, Gunma Prefecture.

Burkhardt’s partner in Japan, Sanyo Trading Co. Ltd has ordered a further ten V3.90 wood gasifiers with combined heat and power (CHP) ECO 165 units and complete ventilation and pellet conveyor systems. The units are for an undisclosed project being developed in Japan.
