According to local media reports, a fire in the 20 000 tonne-per-annum manufacturing plant of Swedish pellet producer Loarp Energi AB was first spotted early morning on January 3 by a truck driver delivering wood to the plant and who called in emergency services.
By the time fire services arrived on the scene the building was engulfed in flames and it was decided to let the structure burn to the ground. No injuries were reported. It is unclear what the caused the blaze.
