Finland-headed gas major Gasum Oy has opened a gas filling station in Ruokosaari, Jyväskylä, Finland. Compressed biogas (CBG) and natural gas (CNG) are available from the new station to fuel cars, delivery vehicles, waste management vehicles, and buses. In addition, liquefied natural gas (LNG) for heavy-duty vehicles is also available.

According to a statement, Gasum has received Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) support to “explore the opportunities” to construct a refueling station network for heavy-duty vehicles in particular and the deployment and testing of four pilot stations.
In addition to the new Jyväskylä station, there are already LNG filling stations in use in Vuosaari, Helsinki, and near the Port of Turku. The next LNG filling station will be opened in Tuupakka, Vantaa, during September 2017.
