With more than 220 lectures by international experts and more than 1 400 expected participants from 46 nations, the 6th Central European Biomass Conference (CEBC 2020 ) is one of the leading events on the 2020 bioenergy calendar. From January 22 – 24, 2020, Messe Congress Graz in Graz, Austria will host the 2020 edition of the triennial, award-winning conference under the “Greening of the Strategies” theme.

In times of climate change, it is all the more important to pursue suitable strategies for an environmentally friendly, resource-efficient future. The CEBC 2020 connects decision-makers from the fields of science, politics, and industry and sets new impulses for the energy transition by highlighting technological developments and practical reports.

As a source of inspiration for the entire industry, it is particularly important for the organizers Austrian Biomass Association, Agricultural Chamber of Styria
and BEST – Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH to combine as many representatives from science and practice as possible along with an extensive supporting program and low admission prices.

Visitors can look forward to contributions covering subjects such as advanced biofuels, bioeconomy, sector coupling, raw material availability, logistics and applications – the traditional areas of heat, electricity, and mobility will not be neglected though.

Designated theme days such as the Highlights of Bioenergy Research 2020, tasks of the International Energy Agency, the Pellet Day, BEST Day, Biogas Day and Forestry Day of the Ecological Forums winter conference offer specific insights into the challenges of the bioenergy sector.

An extensive excursion program, together with an “Industrial Exhibition” connects scientific researches with practical applications. Best practice examples of Austrian biomass small combustion plants or innovative combined heat and power (CHP) plants, for example, will be visited.
