According to a statement, the goal for the new Netherlands-headed company Bright Biomethane is to increase its market share by offering customers a proven and reliable solution via a company that is both “knowledgeable and dedicated” to providing an excellent level of service and support.

The membrane based biogas upgrading systems can reach an efficiency of more than 99.5 percent and render biomethane suitable for injection in the national grid or compression to compressed natural gas (CNG).

The company says that its advanced design and patented control system makes it possible to inject specification compliant biomethane to grid within a few minutes of start-up. Furthermore, it has the lowest electricity consumption, 0,22 kWh/Nm3 biogas, and no heat is required for the biogas upgrading process.

According to the company its modular systems are available in standard capacities from 40 Nm3 per hour to 3 000 Nm3 per hour making it one of the few suppliers able to deliver the total range from small to large biogas upgrading installations. The compact and modular solution makes it easy to integrate with both existing and new plants, such as co-digestion plants or sludge digestion plants.

In addition to the production of biomethane, the Bright Biomethane systems may be used to recover and liquefy carbon dioxide (CO2) to create an extra source of revenue for the plant owner.
