Italy-headed engineering firm HYSYTECH s.r.l. has announced that it has acquired the total assets from DH Industries B.V., the Dutch cryogenic technology specialist, originally founded by Dutch technology giant Philips.

Founded in 2003, HYSYTECH is an engineering company specializing in the design, development, and industrial implementation of new turn-key process technologies and equipment.

Core competencies and know-how range from gases and liquid purification to commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance, according to the best engineering practices.

The acquisition of DH Industries, the value of which has not been disclosed, has been executed through HYSYTECH’s fully-owned company Stirling Cryogenics B.V, effective on December 7, 2018.

Now we have new resources and capabilities to continue driving value for our customers. From now on, our product portfolio is enhanced with in-house competencies for gas- and liquids purification in order to offer broader solutions to a larger customer base commented Arjan Coenradie, Director of Stirling Cryogenics and former Sales Manager from DH Industries.

Cryogenic and liquefaction tech specialist

Originally set up in 1955 as part of the Philips Group, Stirling Cryogenics is one of the most successful cryogenic technology and equipment manufacturers with over 3.000 installations around the world.

The head office and factory will remain at Science Park Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

In this facility, the manufacturing and supply of cryogenic systems will continue as usual to produce the reversed Stirling Cycle Cryocoolers, the core equipment for gas liquefaction systems (liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid air, LNG), the boil-off recovery systems and cryogenic cooling machines down to 20 degrees K.

Maintenance and service activities will be managed by Stirling Cryogenics B.V. from its head office in the Netherlands.

The global agent organization for sales and after-sales support will be maintained and enhanced in order to continue delivering services as in the past 60 years of market leadership in the cryogenic sector.

This acquisition will set HYSYTECH on a path of significant growth by providing engineering support and manufacturing capabilities from our Italy-based facilities in order to deliver turn-key cryogenic systems, similar to what we currently do in the allied industrial sectors such as biomethane, bioLNG, hydrogen generation, and other specialty gases or liquids, ended Andres Saldivia, Business Development Manager at HYSYTECH.
