Ingeteam awarded O&M contract for olive waste fired power plant

Spain-headed energy services provider Ingeteam has announced that it has been awarded a contract by the forest industry and energy compatriot Ence – Energía y Celulosa for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of its 16 MW biomass power plant in Ciudad Real, a pioneer in the use of olive waste pomace as fuel.

According to a statement, the 16 MW biomass power plant at Ciudad Real is the third power plant that Ingeteam operates and maintains for Ence. The company is planning to recruit some thirty new employees to operate and maintain the plant, which is located in the municipality of Villarta de San Juan.

Ingeteam also has a contract for the provision of O&M services for the company’s plants in La Loma, Jaén and in Mérida, with installed power capacities of 16 MW and 20 MW respectively.
