In the United States (US), Nopetro Renewables LLC, the development arm of Nopetro Energy LLC, a turnkey producer, distributor, and operator of renewable natural gas (RNG), and liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions across North America, has held the grand opening of its Vero Beach Nopetro Eco District — Southern Florida’s first landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas facility.
Utilising landfill gas (LFG), the US$40 million Vero Beach Nopetro Eco District project will produce 3 million (US) gallons (≈ 11.35 million litres) of renewable natural gas (RNG) annually, creating over 40 jobs in the Indian River County region while preventing around 30,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening of the Vero Beach Nopetro Eco District — Southern Florida’s first landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas facility. This is innovation at work, turning waste into a valuable resource that keeps buses, trucks, and commerce moving while delivering lasting economic benefits. Indian River County’s forward-thinking leadership made this possible, and our partners brought unmatched expertise to the table. Together, we’ve built infrastructure that will serve this community for years to come. I couldn’t be prouder of the Nopetro team and our partners who are making this vision a reality, said Jorge Herrera, Co-Founder and CEO at Nopetro.
