Spain-headed dryer technology and biomass densification provider Prodesa Medioambiente has announced that it has signed an agreement to supply two wood pellet plants under turnkey contracts in Belarus. Located near the cities of Vitebsk and Polotsk respectively, the projects are expected to come online in early 2021 and deliver up to 20 tonnes per hour of industrial wood pellets.
According to a statement, Prodesa will be responsible for the complete design, procurement and construction (EPC) of the plants. This fully integrated service, the value of which has not been disclosed, covers all the engineering, the manufacture and purchase processes, the supervision of the erection and the commissioning both the start-up and the training.
The facilities consist of; a wet line, which includes debarking, chipping and milling line; the drying line with a 240 m long belt dryer; and the pelleting line, storage and product output.
In order to ensure the best performance, Prodesa will, through its operations branch Smart Operations, establish a workshop in Belarus to provide after-sales assistance.
