North America's largest biodiesel and renewable diesel producer, Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG), has announced that it has entered into an agreement with California-based commercial fleet fueling services and bulk fuel provider Hunt & Sons, Inc. to supply REG Ultra Clean at twelve locations in Northern California (CA).
REG Ultra Clean is a premium 100 percent renewable fuel that consists of biodiesel and renewable diesel (HVO) blend. Developed by REG, the patent-pending fuel delivers both the excellent lubricity of biodiesel and renewable diesel’s high cetane and low cloud point.
This results in better self-ignition, easier-starting, smoother-running engines, longer engine life, and reliable operation even in colder temperatures compared to conventional petroleum ultra low-sulphur diesel.
Certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), it is according to REG, one of the lowest carbon intensity liquid transportation fuels on the market today which enables businesses to achieve sustainability targets with the performance they expect.
