US-headed material handling and environmental equipment major Terex Corporation (Terex) has announced the launch of "Green-Tec"— a new brand within the Terex MP Environmental offerings, that provides a comprehensive product offering of tree care and vegetation management solutions. These will include a robust range of chippers, trommels, shredders, dedicated tree care handlers, mulchers and lifting equipment that will make their debut at the upcoming IFAT 2024 environmental technologies trade show in Munich, Germany.

The comprehensive product offering will cater to diverse industries, spanning pipelines, railroads, highway/road infrastructure, private utilities, municipalities, and residential and commercial companies.

As we look for opportunities to grow and diversify the Terex MP Environmental offering, the tree care and vegetation management sector is an area where we can channel our expertise in providing efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. We have a significant and expanding global presence in the environmental industries with our existing brands including Terex Ecotec, CBI, Terex Recycling Systems, and ZenRobotics. Green-Tec will add to these Terex MP Environmental offerings, where it will operate as a stand-alone brand while also benefiting from Terex engineering and manufacturing excellence, broader market presence and efficiencies enabled by our global scale said Jamie Mairs, newly appointed Business Line Director for Green-Tec.

For pipelines, the focus is on-site clearing for oil and gas pipeline infrastructure. Railroads require services such as tree trimming, cutting, and chipping along railway lines. Specialized vegetation management is essential for maintaining road infrastructure.

Private utilities rely on tree care and vegetation management for transmission and distribution lines.

Municipalities face challenges in urban forestry, necessitating tree management along roads, paths, and power lines. Additionally, residential, and commercial companies benefit from tree management services.

Green-Tec is actively seeking new distributors to represent its new product range and provide local aftersales support.

At Green-Tec, we’re more than just a supplier – we’re a comprehensive provider for revolutionizing tree care and vegetation management across these various industries. Our expansive product offering empowers pipeline operators, railroads, highway infrastructure managers, private utilities, municipalities, and commercial entities to effectively tackle vegetation challenges in a safe, sustainable, and efficient manner. Through cutting-edge technology and a dedication to excellence, our solutions not only preserve natural landscapes but also ensure the safety of personnel and the longevity of vital infrastructure, said Jamie Mairs.

Green-Tec to debut at IFAT

Terex also announced that it will use the upcoming IFAT, a global environmental technologies trade show that will take place in Munich, Germany from May 13-17, 2024, to showcase its robust product offering of tree care and vegetation management solutions.

This will include the TH3 Tree Care Handler, which will be displayed on the Green-Tec Stand at IFAT 2024.

Providing safety and comfort for operators, the TH3 features optional polycarbonate safety screens and front and top cab guards, shielding against falling timber and branches.

Ergonomically optimized, air-suspended seats with swinging armrests offer maximum comfort, complemented by soundproofed and thermally insulated cab glazing.

Practical access features such as a convenient access ladder and space-saving sliding door simplify entry into the operator’s cab.

Flexibility and versatility

Equipped with a powerful hydraulic circuit, the TH3 accommodates a wide array of tree care attachments, catering to various tasks such as tree felling, trimming, mulching, and grab sawing.

Its lightweight construction and compact design facilitate easy transportation, while its small slewing radius enables seamless operation in narrow spaces.

Approved for road use, the TH3 excels in passing through highways and heavily trafficked roads, bolstered by its robust travel drive, forestry tyres, and all-wheel drive for tackling challenging terrains.

Precision work and extended reach

Featuring sensitive, finely tuned hydraulics, the TH3 delivers precise grapple movements, while its unique tiltable cab offers excellent visibility with a viewing height of 5.3 metres.

The telescopic stick provides a maximum reach of 12.8 metres, enabling operators to tackle hard-to-reach branches and treetops.

Designed for tree and landscape maintenance, the TH3’s robust loading device offers precision and efficiency in every operation.

We are excited to be making our grand debut at IFAT. With its focus on environmental technologies, IFAT is the ideal place to connect with our team and see how our product offering can support tree care and vegetation management across various industries in a safe, sustainable, and efficient manner, ended Jamie Mairs.
