Canada-based forest machinery manufacturer Tigercat Industries Inc. (Tigercat) has announced the launch of a grapple saw option for its LG4053 and LG5057 loader grapples.
A Tigercat grapple saw increases loader utility and versatility. In hardwood applications, it allows the operator to quickly trim large limbs and remove forks within the security of the operator’s station, reducing or eliminating reliance on ground personnel.
In storm cleanup applications, it is useful for untangling blowdown and cutting off root masses.
The Tigercat LG4053 and LG5057 grapples are offered on Tigercat 234C and 250E series track and subframe-mounted loaders.
Both grapples are now available with an optional Tigercat grapple saw. The bar length is 1 145 mm (45 in) with 19 mm (0.75 in) chain pitch.
The new grapple saw offers several benefits and advantages, including integration of the bar oil reservoir into the durable housing.
The hydraulic circuit is simple and efficient. The hydraulic lines are routed for maximum protection and uptime — fully guarded and further protected by the through-tip boom system offered on the 234C and 250E series loaders.
