In Japan, Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO), an international infrastructure and industrial engineering and construction company, has announced that it has been awarded a contract to construct a 75 MWe biomass power plant. This plant will be built in Ichihara-shi, Chiba Prefecture for Ichihara Yawatafuto Biomass Power GK.
TOYO will carry out the EPC turnkey contract on a full turn-key basis that includes engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for a power generation unit.
The Ichihara Yawatafuto biomass power plant will use imported wood biomass as fuel and is scheduled for completion during 2023. This order also marks TOYO’s seventh order for 50 MW-class and 75 MW-class biomass power plants.
