Toyo Engineering awarded EPC for Aichi Gamagori biomass power project

In Japan, Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO), an international infrastructure and industrial engineering and construction company, has announced that it has been awarded a contract to construct a 50 MWe biomass power plant. This plant will be built in Gamagori-shi, Aichi Prefecture for Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Generation GK.

TOYO will carry out the EPC turnkey contract on a full turn-key basis that includes engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for a power generation unit.

The Aichi Gamagori biomass plant will use imported wood pellets and palm kernel shells (PKS) as fuel and is scheduled for completion during 2023.

This award also marks TOYO’s sixth order for 50 MW-class and 75 MW-class biomass power plants.
