Valmet to deliver EVO 64 defibrator system to Çamsan Entegre in Turkey

Finland-headed energy and forest industry technology provider Valmet Oyj has announced that it will supply an EVO 64 defibrator system to wood-based panel producer Çamsan Entegre Ağaç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş in Turkey. The start-up of the system is planned for the middle of 2020.

Turkey-based Çamsan Entegre is a producer and exporter of Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and laminate parquet flooring with an annual paper impregnation capacity of 90 million m2. Valmet will supply a complete EVO 64 defibrator system with a steam separator. This is the first steam separator delivery for Valmet in Turkey.

The EVO 64 system is specially designed for production levels up to 35 tonnes per hour, which will be perfect for Çamsan Entegre in this case. We are really pleased that Valmet was chosen as the supplier in this project, said Leif Sundberg, Sales Manager, Pulp and Energy, Valmet.

Although the value of the order has not been disclosed, Valmet says that the value of the delivery of this size and scope is typically around EUR 2-5 million.

First launched at Ligna 2005, Valmet’s Evolution (EVO) Defibrator system includes a high-capacity screw feeder system with dewatering plug pipe, advanced helical discharge from the refiner housing. Refiner segment technology, a bearing system with no axial play, and an exterior design that contributes to operating stability and facilitates access for easier maintenance. Since launch, the EVO series has been expanded to include an EVO 56, EVO 64, EVO 70, EVO 74 and most recently an EVO 50 model (image courtesy Valmet).
