Finland-headed forest industry and energy technology provider Valmet Oyj has announced that it will supply boiler diagnostics systems to Harbin Boiler Co., Ltd. in China via its exclusive distributor in China for defined industries such as coal-fired boiler industries and waste-to-energy boiler industries, Beijing Maxonic Energy Technologies Co., Ltd. The order consists of two Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer systems and they will be installed in the Fugu power plant.
Founded in 1954 and based in Harbin, China, Harbin Boiler Co., Ltd is one of the world’s largest manufacturers for large power generation equipment. The company is China’s top-class supplier for design, manufacturing, and service of nuclear power equipment, power station’s auxiliary equipment, large petrochemical equipment, environment protective products.
More than 70 percent of domestic utility boilers have been produced by Harbin Boiler Co., Ltd. The boilers have been installed in more than four hundred power stations in China and exported to more than 20 countries and regions.
Valmet’s delivery consists of two Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer systems. Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer is a non-contact measurement device that obtains highly accurate instantaneous gas temperature profile in any area of the boiler. Key applications for the Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer include furnace flue gas temperature and temperature distribution measurement.
The systems will be delivered during the second quarter of 2019. The value of the order has been disclosed.
This system is currently one of the most advanced industrialized full load temperature tools in the market. It provides instantaneous, spatially averaged temperatures with excellent accuracy, improves the heat transfer rate by balancing combustion, and reduces emissions by managing critical temperature profiles. Maxonic is Valmet’s exclusive distributor for the Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer products in mainland China and Hong Kong, excluding Taiwan, for the defined industries such as coal-fired boiler industries and waste-to-energy boiler industries.
