Canada-based forest machinery manufacturer Tigercat Industries Inc. (Tigercat) has announced the launch of the new 610H grapple skidder, a more compact grapple skidder at a reduced capital cost.

Building off the 610H cable skidder and the 620H grapple skidder, the 610H is positioned as a compact and cost-effective grapple skidder, aimed at contractors who appreciate the value of the Tigercat-TCi brand and require a machine matched to lower volume harvesting operations or high-value selective felling extractions.

The Tigercat FPT N6.7 engine delivers 151 kW (202 hp) to a field-proven hydrostatic driveline that is optimized to balance speed and tractive effort.

The machine is equipped with a 1.39 square metre (15 sq.ft) grapple and 620H-sized axles for added durability. The operator’s cabin is simplified compared with the other H-series machines.

Rather than Tigercat’s signature 220-degree Turnaround seat, the 610H is fitted with a fixed-position seat angled at 30 degrees or an optional two-position mechanically actuated Turnaround seat.
