Finnish technology group major Wärtsilä Oyj has announced that it has completed two divestments: divesting the Gas Solutions business to Germany's Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, following the agreement announced on December 22, 2025, and divesting Water & Waste business to Sweden's Solix Group AB, following the agreement announced on February 5, 2026.
Gas Solutions, with the annual revenue of EUR 394 million in 2025, provides its customers with innovative systems and comprehensive lifecycle solutions for the gas value chain.
Water & Waste, with annual revenue of EUR 54 million in 2025, focuses on environmental solutions across the full spectrum of water and waste management at sea.
The financial performance of both businesses has been below Wärtsilä’s profitability targets.
These business units, with their employees, were transferred to the respective new owners on June 1, 2026.
By completing the divestments of the Gas Solutions and Water & Waste, Wärtsilä Portfolio Business will have no remaining business activities.

The value of the transactions has not been disclosed.
