Andusia win 10-year supply contract to MHKW Rothensee, Germany

Andusia Recovered Fuels Ltd (Andusia RFL), the UK’s largest independent exporter of refuse-derived fuels (RDF) has announced that it has successfully concluded an agreement for a 10-year supply agreement with MHKW Rothensee GmbH in Germany.

MHKW Rothensee operates a 270 MW (input) waste-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Magdeburg that started operating in June 2005. The plant processes 650 000 tonnes per annum of waste supplying district heating to local households and businesses in the Magdeburg area and power to the grid.

We are really proud to start a good long-term business relationship with one of UK’s largest independent exporters by signing a 10-year contract. The reason why we made the choice to have Andusia Recovered Fuels Limited as a partner is quite simple; their knowledge in the UK market, their expertise in the RDF export business and of course the great team behind Andusia, said Rolf Oesterhoff, Commercial Managing Director at MHKW.

MHKW shareholders are EEW Energy from Waste and SWM Magdeburg. EEW is already a well-established offtake partner for Andusia and this contract solidifies this relationship further.
