Supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Union (EU), and the European Investment Bank (EIB), twelve new specialized vehicles were handed over to the municipal solid waste company Osh-Tazalyk.

The project is financed by parallel loans of EUR 2 million and EUR 3 million provided in 2020 by the EBRD and the EIB respectively. It also benefits from grant funding of EUR 5 million provided by the EU.

Upon the project’s completion, Osh-Tazalyk will be able to provide uninterrupted services to the population of Osh and its suburbs. The funds will also allow the municipal waste management company to procure waste containers, modernize waste collection points and build a new sanitary landfill.
