ReNew ELP enters into waste plastic supply agreements

ReNew ELP, a UK developer of a 20 000 tonnes per annum end-of-life plastics (ELP) processing plant in Teeside, has announced that it has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with two waste plastic suppliers for its planned Teeside plant.

According to a statement, ReNew ELP is making “great progress” in building relationships that will secure a steady supply of the waste plastic feedstock that the ReNew plant will convert into oils and chemicals using a proprietary catalytic hydro-thermal liquefaction (Cat-HTR) process developed by Australian company Licella.

The 20 000 tonnes per annum capacity plant is currently under development and is expected to become operational in late 2019.

Memoranda of Understanding have been entered into with J&B Recycling, one of the North East’s largest independent waste management operators and Emerald Biogas Ltd, a large North East anaerobic digester (AD) operator.
