Siwertell, part of the Sweden-headed size reduction and materials handling technology provider Bruks Siwertell Group, has announced the opening of a new office in Manila, in the Philippines, to serve its growing base of customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Siwertell has already a strong presence in Taiwan, South Korea, and China, and this move is part of a longer-term commitment to deliver expanded support for existing as well as potential customers in the region.

The main function of the new Manila office is new sales but Ola Jeppsson, Area Sales Manager for Siwertell unloaders, loaders and terminal equipment, and Manager of the new Manila office will work closely with Tony Aronsson, Siwertell’s Area Manager Services, based in Taiwan, as well as surveyors and local representatives.
The new Manila office provides a hub from which customers throughout the region can be served more effectively; from Japan in the north to Indonesia in the south. Being in the same time zone means that communicating with clients is quick and efficient and it is possible to respond faster to enquiries and questions. It is also easier to meet existing and potential customers and set up visits to sites in the area. Environmentally, it means fewer long-haul flights, explained Ola Jeppsson.
Leveraging local knowledge
With customer-driven services, which span local, regional and global scales, Siwertell understands the benefits of an ‘on-the-ground’ perspective. To achieve this, it works closely with native-speaking representatives familiar with the market.
By leveraging local knowledge, we can better identify and meet the needs of our customers, Ola Jeppsson said.
In the future, Siwertell plans to further develop its overall presence in the Philippines and other Asia-Pacific countries including its presence in Taiwan, China, and South Korea.
