Solenis and Hydrite have announced settlement of pending legal actions filed by Hydrite against Solenis. Hydrite to become an authorised licensee in the US and Canada of Solenis corn oil extraction technology in the corn-to-ethanol process.
Solenis LLC, a US-based producer of speciality chemicals for the forest, chemical and petrochemical industries and Hydrite Chemical Co., an independent provider of chemicals and related services in the US, have announced the resolution of pending legal actions filed by Hydrite against Solenis regarding Solenis’ patents for using polysorbate as an additive for corn oil extraction aids.
As a result of the settlement, Solenis has licensed the use of its corn oil extraction technology to Hydrite. Under the license agreement, Hydrite will become an authorised licensee in the US and Canada of Solenis technology that enhances the efficiency of corn oil extraction in the corn-to-ethanol process.
