According to court records from the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas, Illinois-based Synata Bio Inc., is the winning bidder for Abengoa SA’s 25 million gallon (≈ 95 million litres) per annum cellulosic ethanol plant in Hugoton, Kansas. Founded earlier this year Synata Bio owns patented cellulosic ethanol technology previously owned by Coskata Inc.
